How is this different from your existing software practice?
Same engineers, same quality bar, faster cycle time. The shift is in tooling and process, not staffing: code is reviewed and architected by senior people, AI is a typing accelerator.
Is the code maintainable?
Yes. Senior engineers review every commit. AI is not a decision-maker. The code looks like our code, because it is.
What does AI-accelerated development actually mean?
It means using AI tooling inside our own engineering process to move faster: scaffolding, test generation, refactoring, code review support and documentation. It does not mean the software is written unsupervised by a model and shipped. Every line still goes through review, testing and the same quality bar as any other build. The acceleration is in the parts of engineering that were always mechanical.
Does this make the software cheaper?
Sometimes, and where it does we pass it on. The larger effect is usually on speed rather than cost: the same team ships more in a sprint. Where it genuinely does not help is the hard part of software, which is deciding what to build, modelling the domain correctly and handling edge cases in your business rules. Those are still the expensive parts and no tooling removes them.
Is AI-generated code a security or quality risk?
It is if nobody is checking, which is why we treat model output as a first draft from a junior engineer. It is reviewed, tested and held to the same standards. We also run dependency and vulnerability scanning, because the more common risk is not the code itself but a plausible-looking package suggestion that should not be trusted.
Who owns the code?
You do, on full payment, including the repository and the deployment configuration. There is no proprietary framework you cannot leave and no dependency on us to keep it running.
Will another team be able to maintain it?
That is a design constraint from the start. We build with conventional, well-supported technology and document the decisions, because a codebase only one team can maintain is a liability you paid for. If you ever move the work in-house or elsewhere, the handover should be uneventful.
How much faster is it, realistically?
We will not quote a multiplier, because it depends entirely on the type of work. Well-specified CRUD, integrations and test coverage benefit a great deal. Novel product logic, complex state and anything requiring judgement about your business benefit far less. Any agency quoting a fixed percentage across all work has not measured it.
How much does an AI-accelerated build cost?
It is scoped the same way as any bespoke build: on the complexity of the domain, the number of integrations, and how much of the behaviour is genuinely novel rather than conventional. The tooling changes our delivery speed, not the basis on which work is priced. We quote on scope after a technical discovery rather than from a rate card.
Can you work alongside our existing development team?
Yes, and it is often the better arrangement. We can take a defined workstream, provide senior review, or set up the tooling and practices for your team to run themselves. Where the goal is capability transfer rather than delivery, say so early, because it changes how we structure the engagement.
